Milk Type: Cow
Dietary: Unpasteurised, Vegetarian
Origin: Berkshire, England

“Village Maid Cheese’s Maida Vale is a semi-soft washed rind cheese made from unpasteurised Guernsey cow’s milk with a vegetarian rennet.

The rind is washed with Treason IPA from Uprising Brewery in Windsor. The West Coast IPA helps this cheese promote a tangy, punchy flavour and aroma with a buttery texture.”

Curious. bitter notes from this awesome cheese. Would go with pickles on a cheese board with gallons of tasty ales to wash it all down.

My new favourite cheese

Beautiful texture, delicious flavour and soft even when straight out the fridge! Loved it!

Deliciously more-ish soft cheese and demolished in no time at all. Get this up to room temperature to fully appreciate its flavours – I’m going to have to buy it again to do some proper tasting notes aren’t I? 🙂
